The FVCW Series microscopes offer users
a way to inspect both loose patch cords
and connectors mounted in bulkheads,
transceivers, and other hard-to-reach
interfaces. Patch cords can be easily
inserted into the front of the microscope,
while the probe unit (sold together or
separately - see ordering information
below) can be maneuvered to reach an
interconnect. Both microscopes utilize
coaxial illumination to provide the user with
a critical view of fine scratches, making
them the ideal choice for manufacturing,
production, and QC environments. The
FVCW systems feature an attached 9
monitor that is inclined backward 22.5º and
accept all FMA-Series adapters.
The FVCW workstations incorporate the new
ScratchView feature. In the normal viewing
mode you can easily see defects and debris
across the end-face, but by pressing the
ScratchView button on the front of the
microscope you can also see scratches across
the core and cladding not seen before!
